Im up for it anywhere. I mean its only fair to the West Coast folks. Camaro5 fest should be enjoyed by the whole community, not just one region of the country. Remember we come from all parts of this country and who ever did not want to make or could not make the long drive this year in the West could now enjoy next years event.

The central guys really have nothing to worry about. We are Centrally located so the drive should not be as bad as driving from west to east coast. I for one am up for where ever the mods decide and volunteer to help. (send pm)

I do go for West because I feel this great experience should be shared with all on Camaro5. So bare with the mods trying to make this happen guys, it doesnt help when we cant all agree because we want to benefit to everyone. Im sure they wish EVERYONE here could attend, but we all know this is not possible. The best solution is to change it around every year as to accommodate everyone. And like TAG stated, split events would not be reasonable, since it would really make things harder on the vendors as well as GM, and we know that those are two big parts that made this years event successful. So lets trust in Chris and the rest of the team to pull another one out of the hat and knock next years event out of the park! Im already counting the days!

14th Annual Cruisin' The Coast October 3 - 10, 2010. Along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi http://www.cruisinthecoast.com/

Daytona Bike Week, The World's Largest Motorcycle Event
February 26, 2010 - March 7, 2010 - http://www.officialbikeweek.com/

Once again, I absoltely agree. It's not that I don't have a thought of my own, but everybody is already stating what is in my head so why repeat it.

C5Fest was a super success and there is still room to grow at SGMP and in Valdosta building upon what has been done by Chris and so many others. There is no reason why it cannot be turned into a two or three day event.

There is plenty of lodging and plenty of restaurants. I don't know where everyone else ate, but we made a bee line for downtown and ate at as many of the local restaurants in the historic district as we could while we were there. Every single one of them was genuinley happy to see us and our Camaro, treated us very well and the food was ALL delicious!!!

***We go to Cruisn the Coast every year, and have been attending for the past 8-10 years. We usually stay for 4 nights and have a great time, In fact, last year about 12 C5 members met up for a photo shoot and cruise through downtown Gulfport then down Highway 90 to Edgewater Mall in Biloxi. Maybe this year we can make an even better showing??? I'm pretty sure CajunCamaroChic was there too!
I agree 200%

So far, the central and western votes outnumber the eastern votes, suggesting that C5F should be moved westward.

Mod's, what type of facility do you require?
Drag strip? 1/8 or 1/4?
Road course?
Auto-x?
Skid pad?
Large paved parking?
Paved oval?

Ideally...all of the above.

We think that's what made the event at Valdosta so great. It had a 1/4 mile drag, Auto-x (a real road course would be neat), large amounts of paved parking for Vendors and a car show...and the parade laps around the oval was a VERY memorable moment! But what made it all better was that everything was together in ONE facility...people could go where they want, when they wanted to.

That's the requirements we're keeping in mind when looking at a track...

Unless its somewhere in New England I probably won't be showing up. I can't take the time out of work, and I rather not drive by myself for 10+ hours.

I just took a look at the website for Firebird raceway in Arizona and they certainly have everything in one place; 1/4 mile, several road courses, auto x, skid pad, a couple of ovals, plenty of parking and specifically designed meeting areas. And it's right off the interstate 10 so access is super easy. And there's over a dozen hotels in the area.

That would be my choice for a western track since Reno/Tahoe's track is closed and Vegas is just too expensive and too much hassle.

i would prefer it here in southern cali where the weather is damn near perfect all the time, plus the roads are made for cruisin!

but to be honest, i think vegas is also a good choice too, probably easier for most people to get there then to southern cali

Everyone has valid opinions...Our $.02 (and btw we'll go wherever it is), but if you continue to have it on the East Coast, you will typically only have central/east coasters with cars there. Moving it to West Coast or Centrally somewhere will allow other drivers that can't make that drive every year to partake in the event, races, etc, and show off their beauties that they paid for and modded, etc. Again, we'll go wherever it is, but figured the experience should be enjoyed by all to the fullest. Mix it up...I say don't leave out our folks in Canada either. They were one hell of a bunch. Let's go artic one year!!!

I don't agree with that at all, and the poll is nothing to consider in my opinion unless everyone is 100% going or 100% willing to travel. If it were to be something to go by, then each choice should have a percentage of probability that you would travel to that location.

for example...I would 100% go back to Valdosta, but there is only a small chance that I would go to New York, same location on the poll, but completely different situation.

There is a 2% chance I would go to Cali much further west than Central US, unless I was flying in, but I don't see much of a point of not having my car with me.

Central US would be a tough choice on flying or driving, would just depend, and we are a two Camaro family, makes it even tougher to drive both of them.

There is no way to please everyone but as the old saying goes, if it ain't broke don't fix it. And there will be many that argue it is broke because it is on the east coast, but as many people have suggested, the events that stay in the same location continue to get larger. The Fbodygathering I imagine may be one of the largest this year because of the 2010 Camaro, and it's held on the same weekend each year.

In the end I say to remain successful it needs to stay in the same place, the only reason I see to move it would be if we outgrow the location. Could you imagine trying to do a 30+ mile cruise through cities in SoCal or Vegas, you couldn't and that was one of the highlights of the event.

My argument on why we can't have 2 per year is vendors and GM. The turn out would not be the same and you can't guarantee GM can make it to both. You also would need twice the people to help plan the event.

Now I know I am just one opinion, and many will disagree, and to some it isn't fair, if it's on the west coast next year I won't think it's fair, so I see everyone's argument over there.

I may get flamed for this, but for all of us over here that helped getting this together for the first time, how fair is it to rip it away and move it?
