Take a long weekend, it will heal in a couple days, and get some of that stuff you rub on it, like 10W40.

You can check wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullwhip_effect to read a bit about it. I know - some people really dislike wikipedia, but it gives you the basic idea. A common example of this effect is the beer distribution game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_distribution_game) which is not really as interesting as it sounds

Basically, as you move from level to level in a supply chain, demand forecasting can get increasingly innacurrate and although at the point of sales (the customer) demand might only be for a few of a certain item, by the time it is interpreted and aggregated by the dealers/distributors/suppliers/etc., then at the point of manufacture, the demand might appear to be very large. This can result in huge inventory, if as Scott says, they were to tool for 450 when demand at point of sales has fallen to 140. The reason for the growth in just-in-time manufacturing and integrated supply chains is to more effectively pass the information up the chain to help minimize the bullwhip effect and therefore inventory. It is, however, still a major issue facing manufacturing-based supply chains - and finding the perfect balance is still quite difficult.

Sorry if I bored anyone with supply chain

THANK YOU!!!

Add a little Marvel Mystery Oil. Then you can use any type.

I thought you people on here knew what you were talking about. Then I read this post on supply chain, bull whipping, etc, etc, and it became obviously clear that you guys are completely out of the know. EVERYONE knows that God is making the 5th Gen personally and frankly he just cannot crank out more than 300 per day at least for the first few weeks. Damn people!

Why does it surprise ANYONE that SS would be the best in PRE-ORDER SALES?

Duh. As if v6s quicken the pulse like a 400+ HP v8.

Who the hell is running out to PRE-order a 3700lb car with a v6? I can't believe they made it up to 14%. I'm guessing 13% couldn't afford the SS, and the other 1% are just damn weird people.

I was pretty shocked to go into the dealership & order the V8, to find out how much it cost!! All I wanted was a sunroof with my V8!! So after the shock wore off, I changed my mind and order the V6 2LT, with a sunroof! After reading that the V6 has 90hp more than the base 1967 V8! So back when I had my 67 I got into enough trouble, so V6 I believe my new 2010 will have the guts & power I should need for my Sunday ride. It will be my I-CANDY for my garage!! And it will be an head turner in my town!!
