Dissapointed WTF !? Cam swap dyno #s - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Here you go , third sheet stock vs CAI , then after cam install , car is presently bone stock except for cam and air intake .
Present cam is Comp 224/242 .610/.612 115+3 .
The first sheet was our best pull 404 ft lbs and 420 hp . ( 1ft lb less than stock + 26 hp from stock ) We encountered wheel hop when things warmed up so WOT on this sheet was at about 4000 revs . Second sheet is cai only vs cai and cam only .
I've got 1 7/8 long tube headers/HF cats ready to install but I think I may have to lose 5 - 10 degrees on the cam and go to a 112/113 lc .
Opinions please .

What I find strange is your baseline looks extremely high for a stock LS3. Were any mods done to it? Were the numbers from the first run corrected? If so were the second done the same way or not?

Also you did a cam without supporting mods (headers, etc)? I'm just wondering why you didn't have the headers installed along with the cam and then get everything tuned. That would really affect your numbers.

The cam is not the problem, you did everything backwards. Should of installed the exhaust and other bolt ons first.

I would like to know where you bought your car to have over 400hp @rw. Most I've seen so far was in the mid 70's. Mine was 363 rwhp.

Base line was 378/391 cai brought it to 393/405 no other mods , yes corrected , same way same dyno .
PS , V6Sonoma, I'm in Cranston .

Correct , backasswards because every one does it the other way and I wanted to provide you all with some accurate , real data from a vehicle owned by a guy that's not trying to sell you anything , just giving FREE data .

Forget the #'s , just look at the gains / losses .
I claim nothing , I'm just providing unbiased data . Same dyno , same operator , same corrected #'s .
Remember I own the car and I'm not trying to sell you a tune , headers , cam etc. by providing fluffed #'s or skewed data .

Also I installed correct springs , Tit retainers , pushrods and Comp rocker trunions .

I revised this and I hope it makes sense .
