Im actually working on a Public Service Announcement for Bridgestone about safe driving. A buddy and I are working on it as a school project and our main focus is showing the importance of wearing a seatbelt. When it's done, I'll post it up here for you guys to see. It'll be up on bridgestones website too if we are finalists, so if you wanna pop on by when it's up and throw us a vote, we can win a $5,000 scholarship toward college.

This one here is by far my favorite...
And for those that know me, I ALWAYS buckle up. Seen too many crashes with people being thrown to know they ACTUALLY SAVE LIVES. |

Great commercials! Before the daughter and wife came to be the 'seatbelt' I was expecting him to just fly across the room into the wall! Would have taught the lesson in a slightly more grotesque manner.

I was once hauling a bunch of stuff to my brother-in-law's for an auction. I was traveling down the gravel road at about 35mph and something fell over in the back, so I turned around to see what it was. When I turned back around I was going into the ditch, so I figured I'd just drive back out like I had done any other time I went in the ditch. Only problem was the grass was hiding the fact that the ditch had now become 100% verticle and the nerf bar on the pickup caught the edge of the road and the truck rolled over. So there I sat in the middle of the road, upside down in my father-in-law's pickup. I unbuckled my seatbelt that for some reason I had JUST put on not more than 1/2 mile before the accident. What made me decide to buckle up? I don't know, but I like to think it was God putting some common sence into my head for me. I have never driven without one since.

I've been in some bad accidents in my younger days. I remember seeing that post a few weeks back and thinking really? Hopefully that driver has changed his mind. Good thread.

Caution When Opening Video
Quote:
Just check it out. This is what happened when HE decided not to wear HIS seatbelt! (I will only provide the link....and not post up the embedded video) I sincerely hope you decide to wear your seatbelt day in day out...common sense stuff. In case that one didn't catch your attention... |

lol not sure why some people are still refusing to listen to good reason... But okay. I don't get the benefits of NOT wearing your seatbelt. *shakes head*
