The torque curve on that LS3 is just sexy...I bet it's gonna pull like a freight train all the way from just off idle to redline!

Just from the shape, I can tell those are not equal length.

Doesn't matter, I'll be getting LT's anyways.

so the question is, if you could afford the LS7 engine, would you get it or spend the same money and upgrade the internals (valves, rods, etc.) to equal them out before boltsons/FI?

I think I might have found why the SEMA specs are showing higher than stock numbers for the LS3:

Starting with a 2010 Camaro SS, the company modified the stock 6.2-liter V8 to run on E85 and recalibrated it to deliver more power.

I would agree.

The good news is with a tune alone you can get more power. Let alone all the bolt-ons.

I think GMPP just ruined my marriage, unless I can hide the catback exhaust, 21" wheels and air-intake cost somehow.

It looks like they are made for the stock exhaust to bolt up. Same bottleneck. Same restriction. What gain would there be?

Some items will be assigned an LPO number that can be ordered and financed with the car.

I can afford it! Not joking one bit either. Thats what overtime is for With that said the question I have to ask myself is: Is the nostalgic 427 number really worth it? No doubt you'll get more bang for your buck sticking with the LS3 and modifying it.

Not sure what the market place is for a new LS3 but the LS7 may be more affordable than some think. I'm talking about purchasing a crate LS7 and selling the LS3 vs adding a supercharger to your exsisting LS3 or upgrading the internals. May only turn out to be 4-5k difference when it's all said and done. I'd gladly pay GM upwards of that amount to throw an LS7 in it at the factory.
