I'm hoping that is what happened, I'd hate to think anyone out there would be mean enough to see a beautiful car like this and say "take this, Camaro driver" and place it specifically to puncture. There's a special kinda hell for people with that kinda karma, I think...

Why would you pay $420 and/or $352 for the tire at a dealer when you could get it from tire rack within a couple days for a little over $200? Just askin.....

I called several tire places/dealerships when I realized I needed a new tire (as soon as I saw it). The lowest price I found on that tire was $352. The highest was $440 installed (at a discount tire store). Five of the several stores had the tire in they system, and only one had it on the rack. I guess I needed to look harder, but I really need my car today so I guess it'll have to do.

OUCH! The good thing about the Pirrelis is how they work. The bad thing about them is the price. That can not be fixed. Sidewall damage is non repairable.

Dang...I just had a rail road spike removed from mine this morning. Thank goodness they were able to repair the tire. Mine was located in the tread well on the driver's rear tire.

I paid nothing for the new tire. The $340 is what the dealer would have charged me if I didn't have the warranty. I'm sure it was at full retail. $205 at Tire Rack is cheap but you gotta add shipping, mounting, disposal etc.

Final cost:
$352 for the tire, $19 for the service. They decided to knock it down from $49 because I picked up my tire from another Chevy dealer. That tire protection package looks mighty fine right now...
