Please come to Utah and try that. It won't matter...people refuse to sign tickets all the time, just write "SERVED" on it and it's official.

I'm sure the judge will love to hear you tell that story.

My worst was 102 in a 55 on I-95 here in Miami, in my old 04 Mits Galant. The ticket was dismissed, as apparently the officer in question had some...questionable ways of following protocol and was dismissed from the force. Lucky.

you do know that a carbon copy stays attached to that, right? Invisible ink will not disappear on carbon. That is all that is needed. You don't get sent a "ticket" in the mail, you get sent a notice to appear with a court date and time.

True. But I just checked, I have the YELLOW carbon copy paper. I believe the officer has the original WHITE copy with the ink. I still wouldn't try the invisible ink... I don't want to commit perjury or anything and get in more trouble. Not worth it imo.

The Officer has the white copy AND a pink carbon copy. The yellow carbon goes to the (alleged) offender.

I just print tickets now. No carbons. One gets turned in with the signature (or with served written on it) one goes to the violator. Digital copy goes directly into the system.
