New dash trim & door inserts...

ordered my dash/door trim kit back on Feb 18th... got it in last week... finally got around to installing it...

it makes a whole bunch of difference... really wish it had come this way...

dash trim was super easy to install... only took a few minutes...

the door panels were a little bit of a booger to get out... and removing all those damn melted plastic rods that were holding the insert in was a pain... but all in all.. it wasnt too hard... just a bit time consuming...

I do wish they used screws to secure the inserts to begin with... being that they send screws to secure the new inserts... would have made it way easier to swap out... but oh well...

they are from my phone so they are not the best... but here are some pics...

the trim does not come with any lights. you just unscrew the light brackets from the factory insert and re-mount the brackets onto the new inserts. there are places for the mounting clips to attach to... the panel inserts are almost, if not totally, identical to the factory inserts... just unmount light from one and re-mount onto other...

In your opinion, is the yellow on the inserts the same color as the Rally Yellow exterior?

Can't tell from your pics.

I ask because it's called "Scorch Yellow", which is weird to me, if they are in fact the same.

got my kit from GMpartsdirect... i think... they have been on backorder for several months... there is a thread somewhere in the "interior" parts section that has some more info on them...

there is also a few threads I found where people took off their factory inserts, stripped them down, had them repainted, then re-installed them... If I find any of those threads I will post them here...

As far as my terminator eyes can see... they look the same... it all looks like it came from the factory... if it doesnt match, then i need to return my eyeballs...
