Nope not stock, bolt-ons/cam 390rwhp and 400lbs lighter(stock weight). Even a bone stock '99 SS would give a 5th gen a run for it's money!! 400lbs is a lot!!

That's technically not true.
Like the Challenger (sort of**), the Camaro is based on a modular platform. "Modular", meaning it was designed to easily turn out sedans, coupes, hatchbacks, wagons, and even mini-trucks. To be so versatile means compromises had to be made in terms of structure (and therefore weight)as opposed to focusing solely on the coupe portion of it all. **Zeta is better than LX.

The answer is simple and has been stated. Buy a V-6 if you want to save money and weight, Buy a Corvette if you want more performance with a higher price tag.

Personally speaking I don't want anything shaven off the dimensions of this car... if anything I'd like it a bit bigger so I can fit my 6'6" giant torso body in it. 10%smaller=no sale for me.
As it is now I'm worried I won't be able to fit. I was able to fit in a 4th gen SS just fine and had lots of fun in it. I just hope I can say the same thing in the 5th gen. I have one on order so I'll know soon enough. Well not quite but I'm sure that's covered in another thread.
