I just changed my oil for the first time. I've got a LS camaro. I used Valvaline Dura Blend. 5w-30. 6 quarts. And a Fram Oil filter. The First oil change was at the Dealership. I'm unaware of the Oil the dealership used. It's pretty hot over here in Texas these days. Something weird I noticed is a smell of Motor oil when I hit it hard. I've double checks the plug and everything. The oil cap is tight. I've check the ammount of oil with the dip stick. Any ideas of what that might be ? When I check the Oil with the Dip stick it has the same smell of motor oil being burnt. Should I change to Mobile 1 instead of Valvaline Durablend ? No lights or anything on the Dash. The computer's not going crazy... I hope I haven't messed anything up.

weird.. why isnt there mobile1 on that list? lol.
Also yeah, the smell seems like something weird. Are you sure you put everything back in place with the proper torque? =o
