About to buy an LS. Scream deal or not?
So I have been back and forth over and over with this guy at a local dealership on a black base model LS.
MSRP $23,680 725 credit score I have him at the internet price of $21,949 before tax (our tax rate is 9.8%) at 4.15% for 72 months. 500 down $1,000 for a junkie 92 toyota pick up base model, no pwr steering, plastic seats and two large dents with 175,000, A real piece of crap. It kelly blue booked for $325. payments of $359 per month I think this is a screaming deal but I wanted to see what the rest of you thought. Should I go and get what I consider to be the meanest, most bad ass looking thing on 4 wheels at this price? Or when I get down there are they going yank the rug out from under me? The manager and I have only been texting thus far. I had a really nasty experience with one of their salesmen the day before and now he is trying to set things right. Have any of you gotten this car cheaper? If I wait do you all think that at some point there will be 0% ? The interest rate is my biggest hangup. Thanks Tim |

Payments seem pretty good and the % is pretty low. I'd say go for it if you can afford it.

personally, I would save the loot for a v8 or get a 05-06 GTO or a 00-02 SS
Ive owned all of them they are all good. BUt I would still take a stock 04 gto with 30k miles over a 6 banger Camaro. You have Options. A LS isn't where you want to be. Not bieng a pecker just saying you can do better with 360$ a month FOR 72 MONTHS !!!!!! Maybe not what you want to hear...but hey you asked. just my 2cents look at this in NJ http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

lol
Get the camaro. It'll be a better car than what the guy above is pushing at you..... that is as long as you don't measure your manhood by what size engine you have. The LS camaro is a great car. The six is an excellent engine.

I've asked this before, I'll ask it again.
Are you awesome? If you answered yes, then the camaro is for you. |

yes the six is nice, however Personally given the choice between a LS2 or or a six LS. It is a no brainer. Also I'm not pushing squat , your car go get whatever you want. BUT for 18k a fully loaded , Leather Seats 05 GTO with 400hp would urinate on a 22k Camaro LS ( Kermit or Not )
No Contest for me. But Get what you want I'm just a dumbass pushing you. I have owned a GTO and a 2010 SS Whats my opinion worth to you.

Check with your own bank for financing before you go back. You don't want the dealership to inflate the back end of the deal on you.

See if you can get pre-approved by a credit union or bank before going in at that set % rating. With that pre-approval you show the dealership you are a real buyer.
Usually if you haggle the dealer enough you can get them to cover T,T&L fees. They will also try to push you to go with their financing at a lower % rate because it pays them more money in the end (had 4.5% with USAA and they offered 3.7% GMAC). In the end it's a nice base model to mod and do what you want with...at a pretty good low price =). |
