Getting a v6 to 500hp is pretty $$$$. You won't really be saving money in the long run...

Wow, you guys must have pretty low self esteem to care what I think. No, I do not think my car is special, it's a $30k domestic. I do love it tho and I hope you also love yours regardless of what platform you got...you certainly don't need my approval and I certainly don't want yours. I don't mind people bragging because they bought a 2SS, it obviously had what they were looking for, I hate leather, I hate the center pod and I like saving a few thousand. I imagine the LT/LS guys feel the same about the V8, cool on you.

My only gripe was the people ripping on the Hyundai like a Chevrolet is a freaking "M" car. Last I checked hyundai didn't need Korea to bail em out.

I seen people on here paying $80-100/mon on 1ss/2ss.

You're going to have to dump at least 10 grand~ to get the v6 to that power, then you have no warranty, and we all know what happens to these engines under too much stress $$$ repair bills. Not worth it imo, but if you do get a v6 to that horsepower, I'll be the first to bow and shake your hand.

It's not that it has 100 less HP it's that the V8 is available at such a cheap price point the V6 doesn't make any sense "to me". If you feel different fine, I think I'm allowed to have an opinion and it doesn't have to jive with yours.

If you meant the Corvette...ding ding ding, you just made my point. I left the Japs because I wanted some American muscle and was sick of high strung V6's. Last I checked they don't offer a V6 Corvette and I think the Camaro should have followed suit.

I'm glad they finally brought the Camaro back because I couldn't get into the GTO no matter how hard I tried, I liked the CTS-V but couldn't part with that kind of money, and the 'Vette is out of the equation because I'm not a retired electrician and I don't want to buy matching jackets for the wife and I.

I'll never own a Mustang for no particular reason even tho the 2011 GT is a f'ing beast and I hate Chrysler more than life itself. My brother has a SRT-8 Charger and that thing is a giant turd...this all left me with the Camaro and all I wanted was the stunning body, the LS3 and a proper transmission.

As to bringing "this" on myself? Get over yourself, I could give 2 f##ks what anyone on the intrawebs thinks about me or my opinions, they are what they are.

I didn't rip on the Hyundai, in fact, it was on my short list.

That said, you must have low self-esteem yourself to make comments you made regarding v6 cars and posers/wives. Did you need an ego boost? I see you live in Illinois, what part? If you are south, I mean true south, Carbondale/Marion, maybe we can meet up, have a beer, and then you can see if what you said is true about posers. I'll wager you won't.

It doesn't take 400-426hp to make a man. It doesn't take that too make a pony car. All it takes is the attitude. Of course, even 312hp (or 306 for the Mustang) doesn't hurt, and the 400-426 is just a bonus. As is the 419.
