on the interstate, it don't really matter - for the most part, you ain't changing gears. in town, it's a little more difficult, but driving should take priority & if you do need to make a call & can't do it while you shift, pull over. plain & simple.

i've been driving standard since i was 11 & wouldn't have it any other way. i just like being more involved & in control of my driving - not to mention it makes you pay more attention to what you're doing (imagine that). the exceptions would be if i was building an all-out drag car where an auto is just faster-shifting & more consistent or if i lost the functionality of my left leg.

i say you'll be happy either way, but only you can determine which'll make you happier. go test drive both stick & auto and see which one you like better.

Auto Ts R4 lazy people. If your a thinking man who wants maximum control in all driving situations, wants better gas mileage, wants a longer lasting, maintenance free trans, get a manual trans. Almost all motorcycles have manual trans. Case closed.

not quite. the autos let you choose what gear you wanna be in.
the gearing & rear end of the autos lend to better average gas mileage across the lineup.
standard trans still needs to be maintained & not abused - we've already seen some situations of people breaking stuff getting a little too happy with the go pedal.

Funny thing is, ill probably mess up their clutch. I sort of suck cause i have never really driven manual. Only for a week when my uncle was teaching me on his old truck

If you're concerned with making calls while you're driving, then get the connections and connectivity package and you'll be able to connect your bluetooth capable phone to your car and talk and drive at the same time. I believe this comes standard on 2LT and 2SS models. Might be an option on 1LT and 1SS.

I have read threads in the past of 1LT and 1SS guys installing the bluetooth unit in their cars after the fact.

Every man should know how to drive a manual. That's man law!

who is talking about motorcycles? I could have sworn that this was Camaro5.com.

I love the "If you are a real man, get a manual" talk.

If you are a real man, you'll get whatever the hell YOU want.

as far as the maximum control in all driving situations goes....

inexperienced driver in "maximum control" of a 4000lb vehicle. Doesnt always work out for the best when the driving situation is at its worst.

Zebra has the best advice.

go test drive both and make a decision. dont get sucked into all the "e-peen" talk.

the clutch will take some "misuse/abuse". it will take more than you will put it thru learning to drive stick. (if thats your choice)
everyone who has ever driven stick has stalled at least once. if they say they haven't, they're blowing smoke up your rear.

as said before, go test drive both and see which you like.
