Thats true about building your own mustange. The main reason I wanted to see a build your own camaro is cuz i want to see what kind of interior options there are and also what kind of options there are for the body as well. I hate how the base v6 mustang looks. the pony package and GT looks so much better than the plain grill of the base v6. However the camaro front end i think will be the same with the exception of a scoop or something.
Just saying thats the kind of stuff i want to learn for when i want to buy |

I kinda hope the V6 looks more bland than the V8 model(s)...don't want my pony car being confused with RWD Luminas afterall.

True. One thing that annoys quite a few Mustang owners is that you can order a V6 from the factory to look very similar to the V8s. Been going on for years, I remember thinking the same thing to myself when I was looking in '99

As a V8 owner, I'd be pissed if there wasn't something to differenciate my car from the V6's...of course, look closer at what Ford is doing - making the V6 model more appealing to buyers. 150,000 units a year is nothing to snort at...

With most cars I can tell what engine it has with the exhaust. Dual usually means v8, sport or whatever.

I just hope I can afford this thing when it comes out!! I can afford about 500 bucks a month but the bad thing is that my current payments for my car are 460ish and its worth less than I Owe. So I think I would have to get a good deal!
We need some pricing info that is confirmed, not speculation! |

I will be able to afford a $500-$600 payment when the Camaro comes out. My current payment is only $298. But my current car is upside down on the loan just like yours. (Worth about $8500, I owe about $11,000.) Though I'm hoping it's low miles (for an '05) will help a little at least. It shouldn't have over 28,000 miles at most when I trade it. My plan is to add a bit to each car payment to help pay it down closer to actual blue book value, as well as have at least $5000 to put down. Pricing info would be nice, but I fear we have a year or more before we get that... |

They say it will be priced like mustang. If thats true then the V6 will be 21-24k and the Z28 around 28-30k.

That said, I've priced a comparable Mustang, and assumed a bit more $ for 2 more years of raised prices. And it was affordable as long as that statement (priced comparably to Mustang) is true.
