Most of us understand people get what they need and want and respect that, other don't.

If your car is a 2010 Camaro, your car is awesome.

Does it really matter if anyone thinks its a "muscle" car. I know people who would say the 2010 V8 isn't a muscle car because it wasn't made 1965-1975. I actually don't know how to classify the current V6. It has the power of a muscle car with way better handling but not good enough handling to be a performance car.

Oh wait, I know how to classify it..........AWESOME!

Not only in base price, but slightly less for insurance and a crapton less for gas (won't need premium and the MPG is better). With the 2LT, my loan will only be 4 years (putting half down), and I'm 23 years old. I don't want to be in a crapton of debt so early in my life, and I think a 2LT/RS Camaro is a pretty kick** car for a 23 year old (or heck, for any age). I have the rest of my life to buy a V8 if I want one.

Anyone else tired of the V6 hate? :/
i have a V6 and would like to get a V8.... no hate... but i want more powa!

It's unfortunate to read threads like these...:(

They build cars according to what the market demands. Different people want different cars...there is no "right" or "wrong", or "best"...because the measures are all different! If it's in terms of cost, efficiency and comfort -- the LT will SPANK the SS any day of the week!!! And it just so happens that there are plenty of people looking to buy a sexy little car with some giddy-up without compromising fuel economy. There's nothing wrong with that at all!

Frankly, they're all performance cars...anyone saying different lives under a rock...and if a person REALLY has a 'problem' with the V6 existing? Well...they're clearly insecure with themselves...there's no other reason for that to be the case. :(

/soapbox...it really upsets me to read this stuff. We're all a family here, Camaro after all means "Friend, pal, or Comrade": and they are all CAMAROS before they are SSs, LTs, or Z28s.

Because it's a muscle car and muscle cars have no place for 6 cylinders.

Its not only a matter of money, its a matter of preference depending on how you'll use the Camaro. As a daily driver and had enough problems with my modded ex-vette C6 (650hp), i decided to settle with the v6 as its an ideal option for me.

The Police Interceptor package has a lot more power then that. It's not a stock Crown Vic motor.

But like I just said in another post I always said the 4 and 6 banger Mustangs were fake Mustangs and I can see the same with the new Camaro.

I bought a 2LT V6 and love it. I don't race it. I'll never race it. I WILL take it to car shows. I WILL drive it through the countryside on nice days. I WILL use it for daily transportation. I have 312 HP with is more than enough to do all these tasks and more and I'll get 29 MPG in the process.

Enough said... I'll sit down down.

If it is someone who doesnt have a camaro, they are just jealous. I get the same thing from my co-workers. If they do have a camaro, they might be just messing with you. My friend has an SS and he jokes around all the time that I only have a V6, but we both know he is just joking.
