Hard Wiring Radar Detector

Can i hardwired my 9500ix across the head liner, down the side, and into one of the wires that runs along my driver side door. Theres a bunch of them... i'm not even sure what they do.... their constantly live thou.... what do they do?

There is a fuse panel on the end of the dashboard. Driver's side and very easy to run a wire from there to the radar detector. That's how I did it. Super simple.

Just run the power off one of the two fuses at the fuse box
on the drivers side, and then ground off the dash bolt.

i want to do it this way using the fuse box and ground but how do you get a cord that plugs into my radar that is long enough i jus have a little 150 cobra nothing special and insite?

ok found the other fuse box on the drivers side but what guage wires does it need i dont want to short out my detector..
