Thats a Dyna pack. The torque readings are always higher than Mustang and dynojet dyno's so it's hard to compare.

Yes, STD #'s are hard to compare. They will always be higher than SAE #'s. So,pretty much they look good but mean little.

They are just #'s. A dyno is just a tuning tool... How does your car FEEL??

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the feedback..The tuner typically sees Camaro LS3s lay down in the 370 - 380 range on his dyno. a 10 HP swing up or down isn't that big of a deal according to him. My car may be packing a little more punch than the average LS3, but nothing earth shattering.

How does the car feel? I'll be honest, I had my 99 Z28 ( automatic with a 3200 stall ) on this exact samw dyno, and it laid down 380/380. My 2010 feels almost as stout, it's a beast!!

And yes, one of you mentioned that the dyno's most important function is as a tuning tool. HP results can vary....

Yup, KR was there....which shocked me. The OEM tune must be fairly aggressive already!

Follow up to the original post with results added for the mods :

Took the car back down to Straightline's Mustang dyno to see what I picked up with these mods :
Kooks 1 7/8" longtube headers & hi flow cats
SLP Loudmouth II
Rotofab CAI

Car is still running the OEM tune...until the cam goes in it.
Results : 422 rwhp/406 rwtq
Weather corrected results.

Graph showing stock baseline over mods.

On the rollers.

The numbers look right for a mustang dyno..they always are down about 10% vs. dynojet numbers. Straightline is a good shop...your car is in good hands!

Folks with STD numbers really should inquire the dyno operator to provide SAE readings. Think that would provide a mroe accurate reading. As stated, dyno is just a tool to measure. Not unlike a ruler.

Are these numbers out of line? Seems that alot of people think there results are "off".

With and AFR of 9.7 all you would need is a spark plug at the end of each exhaust pipe and you'd have a nice 1950's flame thrower.
