I haven't got the factory set off yet (too damn hot here in TX right now). Here's a pic of what you are replacing. I have put a red box around the midpipe. No cutting required. It bolts to the flange on the manifold and then there is a factory slip fit band clamp at the back end.

I know what they replace but there are others that won't and having this pic will help them visualize it.

Subscribed to this thread because I'm intrested in your results. I'm trying to decide if I want to go with HF cats and Tune (about $800 total) or go with LTs and Tune (about $2,000).

If there is only about 10 rwhp difference then I may save the money and put it towards a set of wheels and drag radials. Only bad thing about going that route is that one day I plan on adding a Cam and that will surely require LTs.

When do you plan on putting these on? PM me if you need a hand. I'm in the DFW area as well. I might even be able to get you access to a lift and air tools.

Okay I am confused I thought that the midpipe on the L99 included a Cat first then the resonator. The LS3 is obviously different.

Ok, here's a pic showing the different systems. On the L99 it's two cats per side flowing into the big orange resonator in the middle of the pic.

I plan on putting them on Saturday. Thanks for the offer, but I got the install covered. It's just so damn hot, even in the late afternoon. Living in North TX...you know how it is...

Man, I will tell you, when I did my shorties and catback that flex section made things sooo easy. Too bad they all don't have it.

Now it makes sense..thank you sensei! I wonder why 2 cats...oh well. I kinda figured out now why my exhaust is louder...looks like no resonators

Looks like you can get these from Maryland Speed also and Branden has always taken care of the Camaro 5 family.

Looks like www.buyjba.com is a little cheaper. $391 shipped vs $420 shipped.
