GMpartsdirect.com advertised 19242930 as 2010 Camaro TPM sensors and were selling them for 24 bucks plus s/h. So I bought 4 as backups a few months ago. Are these correct? Got me concerned now. My car was built after the breakpoint.

If you go to gmpartsdirect.com and look at the Camaro upgrades section, you click on the tire pressure monitors and it comes up with p/n 19212271 with an asterisk, meaning if you add the part to the cart, the new part number replacing it will be substituted. Which in this case is 19242930. Odd.

adub and Nine Ball:
Make sure you look at the sensors before you put them in the wheels to get the part number and FCC number. I'm interested in knowing if they are the same as those on the sensors I bought from my dealer. Also, knowing the VIN of the car(s) you put them in. Thanks for doing this and sharing the info with us. I can't see pulling my stock wheels apart if the sensors I bought last week are the same type. |

Yes. I got a deal. But I still paid over 4k for these wheels. And if you consider the money I spent with the problems I've had, it's approaching 5500.00 so don't try to make it seem like I lost my right to voice because I got a deal from you. |

PQ have you had the wheels/tires road force balanced? I ask because on two occasions I have had similar issues to your vibration. The first was stock wheels and tires that balanced out on a normal machine, but once placed on the roadforce, it showed that two tires were faulty. The other was aftermarket wheels and tires that would show up good on the normal machine but vibrate on the road. They balanced with the roadforce machine and clocked the tire, problem solved.

Randy and I spoke on the phone for over an hour today. Seems there was some mis-communication going on. I was speaking with the sales manager, he was speaking with a salesguy. I accept the responsibility here, as I wasn't clear about who I was talking to at Savini, or if both the Savini guys were on the same page.
Either way, I will stand by my earlier statements that Randy will not be stuck with these wheels. Savini will be re-testing them sometime in the next week, with the assistance of another Camaro5 member's car as the test subject. Hopefully they find/fix the issue. If not, my offer to refund Randy still stands. Even if Savini won't offer a refund, I will. Tony

Tony if you want to test out on my car and I'm not there, just call Kat and ask her. I'm sure she can bring the car over and just drive the truck. Pull tires and swap sensors. She may need some help putting them all in the truck.
Whatever can help get the issue resolved to figure out what the wacko sensor thing is. Glad to see you and PQ are hopefully working it out. As I said I can understand his frustration on spending so much on wheels to have issues but some things just dont have easy answers. Maybe try out Adub's recommendation if they weren't balanced as he described. Hopefully it gets resolved.

Chalk up another set of aftermarket TPMS sensors that sync up fine initially but then drop out after less than 20 miles of driving. Just installed wheels/tires from a forum member and now have the TPMS error. Everything was fine for 5K miles with my stock wheels/tires and TPMS sensors. Ed M.

You have the exact same problem I have. Nine Ball is going to put stock wheels/sensors back on a car with this issue this coming weekend. He is going to report back to let us know if the car will relearn the stock sensors and keep the settings. This will let us know if if the problem is due to the after-market sensors or if it is the car's "learn" function that is the issue. I bought a set of GM sensors from my dealer for $200. If the stock sensors work for Nine Ball, then I'll put the GM sensors in my new wheels to replace the after market sensors. Welcome to the club and stay tuned. |

If it turns out I have to replace the sensors, it'll cost close to $300 (again!) to have the wheels mounted and balanced again. The shops willing to work on specialty wheels aren't cheap! |

Of all the wheels and sensors people have changed out, I find it hard to believe that we are the only ones having problems.
