GMpartsdirect.com advertised 19242930 as 2010 Camaro TPM sensors and were selling them for 24 bucks plus s/h. So I bought 4 as backups a few months ago. Are these correct? Got me concerned now. My car was built after the breakpoint.

If you go to gmpartsdirect.com and look at the Camaro upgrades section, you click on the tire pressure monitors and it comes up with p/n 19212271 with an asterisk, meaning if you add the part to the cart, the new part number replacing it will be substituted. Which in this case is 19242930. Odd.

I was going to suggest this as well. No idea what the work schedule will be like this weekend, but we will "make it happen"

adub and Nine Ball:
Make sure you look at the sensors before you put them in the wheels to get the part number and FCC number. I'm interested in knowing if they are the same as those on the sensors I bought from my dealer. Also, knowing the VIN of the car(s) you put them in.

Thanks for doing this and sharing the info with us.

I can't see pulling my stock wheels apart if the sensors I bought last week are the same type.

We attempted to leave almost an hour earlier, and our cars didn't budge. I had all day Friday to help you, but you never contacted me. Remember, we were the ones that walked up to you Saturday. You never attempted to contact me, had we not seen you it would have never happened.
You're joking right? Turned your Fing PMs off. I e-mailed you and asked you about it. And I told you in the e-mail I couldn't come Friday. So you are basicaly saying that I went down to the battleship on Saturday morning for some other reason? Really? When I told you in the first e-mail I couldn't come Friday, shouldn't you have said that won't work? We could have met outside the battleship park as we were leaving. And just because you walked up to me doesn't mean anything. I was there to find you. I doubt your Vette would have been hard to find. And anyway, don't you think you should at LEAST take 30 minutes and drive the car outside the show?
Quote:

As for yourself and Savini, I absolutely have done everything I could with your case. Savini asked to handle it directly, as they want to make sure you end up happy.
NO they didn't. They agreed to a few weeks ago. If you are talking about prior to that, you're lying. And if it was at that time, explain why so late in the game. Please provide proof of this. Because I CAN!!!

Quote:
How dare you say I've not spent any time on your case! I've spoken with the sales manager numerous times, trying to get something worked out. Even got them to agree to get you another set of 20s at pure manufacturing cost.
Ya. So how many times now have I asked about that with no response from you? And funny. Nick knew NOTHING about that.
Quote:

I've made suggestions about your tires, but you haven't acted on it.
Ya. Buy new tires. That's great. That was your advice at the battleship that morning. (and No I don't think Tire Rack is gonna send me some to test)WHEN you didn't drive it. For all you knew driving it you could have been able to eliminate it.

Quote:
I have well over 100 emails/PMs from you, which I always responded and gave advice. Probably another 100 replies to your wheel threads too.
NONE initiated by you.

Quote:
All this time spent, and I've earned $0 on your deal with Savini. Jeff at Savini asked me to help locate some active/key members here, that they would hook up at cost. That was you. You saved about $1,500 off the normal pricing. This was a promotional deal and you accepted it. It wasn't a typical retailer deal.
So that's why your lack of urgency about this? Nice.

Quote:
I don't know about you, but as a customer with issues, I'd be elated to deal directly with the guys who can fix or replace my product. What more can I do? Realistically? You have a direct line with the pros, no thanks to me? I set that line of communication up!
A line of communication that later I find is strained because they don't have a CS department. They were largely unaware of this. Should we ask them? I had to find the number on my own. And I've had other advocacy on my behalf.
Quote:

I understand you are frustrated. I'm also frustrated by your wheel issue, especially since it isn't resolved. No need to take it out on me. I don't have the answers, it seems nobody does.

Tony
Your lack of attention has come out. And you have a problem with it? I guess you would. But I have answered and responded honestly.

Yes. I got a deal. But I still paid over 4k for these wheels. And if you consider the money I spent with the problems I've had, it's approaching 5500.00 so don't try to make it seem like I lost my right to voice because I got a deal from you.

PQ have you had the wheels/tires road force balanced? I ask because on two occasions I have had similar issues to your vibration. The first was stock wheels and tires that balanced out on a normal machine, but once placed on the roadforce, it showed that two tires were faulty. The other was aftermarket wheels and tires that would show up good on the normal machine but vibrate on the road. They balanced with the roadforce machine and clocked the tire, problem solved.

Randy and I spoke on the phone for over an hour today. Seems there was some mis-communication going on. I was speaking with the sales manager, he was speaking with a salesguy. I accept the responsibility here, as I wasn't clear about who I was talking to at Savini, or if both the Savini guys were on the same page.

Either way, I will stand by my earlier statements that Randy will not be stuck with these wheels. Savini will be re-testing them sometime in the next week, with the assistance of another Camaro5 member's car as the test subject. Hopefully they find/fix the issue. If not, my offer to refund Randy still stands. Even if Savini won't offer a refund, I will.

Tony

Tony if you want to test out on my car and I'm not there, just call Kat and ask her. I'm sure she can bring the car over and just drive the truck. Pull tires and swap sensors. She may need some help putting them all in the truck.

Whatever can help get the issue resolved to figure out what the wacko sensor thing is.

Glad to see you and PQ are hopefully working it out. As I said I can understand his frustration on spending so much on wheels to have issues but some things just dont have easy answers. Maybe try out Adub's recommendation if they weren't balanced as he described. Hopefully it gets resolved.

Yes. I learned MUCH about wheels and tires during all this. They were RFB at the shop. Which is why I doubt it's the tires. But at this point, who knows.

Chalk up another set of aftermarket TPMS sensors that sync up fine initially but then drop out after less than 20 miles of driving. Just installed wheels/tires from a forum member and now have the TPMS error. Everything was fine for 5K miles with my stock wheels/tires and TPMS sensors. Ed M.

You have the exact same problem I have.

Nine Ball is going to put stock wheels/sensors back on a car with this issue this coming weekend. He is going to report back to let us know if the car will relearn the stock sensors and keep the settings. This will let us know if if the problem is due to the after-market sensors or if it is the car's "learn" function that is the issue.

I bought a set of GM sensors from my dealer for $200. If the stock sensors work for Nine Ball, then I'll put the GM sensors in my new wheels to replace the after market sensors.

Welcome to the club and stay tuned.

Thanks Darth_Emma. I have to admit it's not a club I wanted to be a member of. Really took the excitement off the new wheel experience.

Ya, I hear ya. I have reset the sensors in mine 6 times. The dealer did it twice.

If it turns out I have to replace the sensors, it'll cost close to $300 (again!) to have the wheels mounted and balanced again. The shops willing to work on specialty wheels aren't cheap!

Of all the wheels and sensors people have changed out, I find it hard to believe that we are the only ones having problems.
