The Camaro didnt change performance wise between 2010 and 2011, so from a raw performance point of view, the 2010 and 2011 are interchangable.

These cars were stock for stock..and the 2011 GT came out on top.
The Camaro SS beat the Mustang GT in the 1/4 mile. And the Camaro SS was only .1 tenth behind the Mustang GT on the road course.

So based on the Road and Track, the SS was the drag strip king.

They did mentioned that they really never knew who would win the race when the lined up. So it sounds like the traded some wins, but the Camaro SS had the fastest time in the 1/4 mile. The also said the Camaro SS was faster down the straight sections of the road course.
The Mustang was faster through the turns.

I couldn't agree more. This edition should have been called, "We hate Camaros and always will" issue!

Thank you. I'm stunned someone even suggested putting gears in the Camaros THAT ARENT EVEN OFFERED to make it fair.

You guys lost this year, take it like a man. I notice you guys weren't crying about the magazines last year when they were all saying the Camaro outperformed the Mustang.

I'm so sorry that you were "stunned" that I suggested that they install gears that are not available yet. I forgot to call GM to ask if they had any yet. I was only trying to make a point. This is a Camaro site and we really don't care about the new Muskrat. Someone will always make a faster car that can hustle around a track more quickly, who cares? Don't be "stunned", take your money to the Ford dealer and buy yourself one of them there Mustangs. If there were no Camaros, I would probably do that myself. The SRT8 is way overpriced.

I dont understand why they would want to compare the 2010 camaros to the 2010 mustangs - and really there is no performance difference between 201 and 2011 Camaro - just the "cool" factor of the 2011 having HUD and a "document update" power increase for the V6. Ultimately a lot of these tests - as has been said - comes down to driver variation and preference. The one glaring gap in the Camaro line is availability of a "track pack" equivalent - which many of us are aware of and addressing with uprated sway bars, springs etc - which is causing the Camaro to lose ground in reviews and also losing potential revenue for GM (I for one would certainly have paid extra for a track pack)

The part that pisses me off the most were the comments about the styling getting old fast. I am not sick of looking at mine yet. I have had it since 5/20/09. I think that the Muskrats are bland.
Let me add 76 cubic inches to the Mustang.

Not to mention the A6 5.0s, which all have 3.15s have ran some good times also.

I just love the fact that Camaro5.com is the most popular Mustang website.

There is no track pak Mustang GT for 2011.......... only optional brakes, otherwise all GTs have the same suspension, also to those whining about gear options, the quickest stock Mustang was actually running the stock 3.31s..........

Camaro didn't 'out perform' the Mustang for 2010.... it blew it away, ate it up and spit it out. Not quite the same words can be used by editors against the Camaro for 2011. But they seem to like easy to drive, girls sized cars with lots of glass.
