My point was that in life you win some and you lose some. I myself learned how to deal with that in Little League.

Some years the Camaro will win, some years the Mustang will win, and some years the Challenger will win. We need to enjoy these cars, not get all upset when our favorite is not the top rated car.

I think that's because those were 'Track Pack' equipped Mustangs. I noticed that many of those tests used Track Pack Mustangs.

It was a factory option, so to me, it counts.

Hopefully GM fires back with something similar soon. Power-wise, it seems it's a close enough race; we just need to get a little more agile

I really don't see it as serious as you win some you lose some. I have my Black SS, I've already won. Hopefully you have or will have the car you have always wanted. Mustang or whatever. It's all good.

Me too.

Honest, I give props when they are called for. I think most of those tests used Track Pack Mustangs because the 2010 Camaro was so much better than the 2010 Mustang in terms of performance that they wanted to try and make it look somewhat competative.

That Track Pack really helped it remain competitive, for sure. Without that, it was a blow-out. I think the biggest advantage the Mustang has over Camaro is weight - there's nothing we can do about that within reason. I believe that weight is being put to good use, however, I don't think we're getting a bit of the potential of the suspension on Camaro yet. I'm sure there are at least a few little things GM could do to improve greatly and get back into the saddle. Some bushings, swaybars, springs and dampers would completely turn the tables, IMHO.

I think the 2011 Mustangss actually weigh less than the 2005-2009s.

I 2nd this statement!!

Now it would be awsome if Chevrolet could shave some pounds from the Camaro next year, or sometime before its next platform update, but in all seriousness they'd have to shed off a few hundred pounds to make any kind of a difference in comparison to the Mustang, so I don't see that happening.

Suspension and gearing options are where its at! Aftermarket companies have proven over and over the Camaro can handle well with some tweaking. A few upgrades and we'd be right in the hunt (well, were already in the hunt lol, but we'd be right there!) I hope GM can step up and offer this stuff.

I was surprised GM didn't offer different gear options from the start. Since the S197s first hit the lots, 3.55s and 3.73s have been factory options. They have kept that practice up with the new 5.0s as well.
