Anyone get a alpha numeric order number? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I ordered a 2SS RS sportspack Camaro yesterday and I was reading that once the order is placed it gets assigned a 6 digit alpha numeric digit for the customer and dealer's reference. I have called my salesman to see if he can give me this number, but thus far he has not returned my call.

He should have given you a print out of everything you ordered, and that alfa number is on the top of the page. Page is titled GM Orderworkbench. It's only a Preliminary order number though.

All I got was paper work showing standard options and the options I chose, but no alpha numeric number. Thanks for trying to help, I patiently await his phone call.

I have tried calling the number twice now just to see what they said. The first time they told me that they could not track orders via this number and to call my dealer. The second time they took my number and said they would call me back. I haven't heard from anyone yet.

At most of the dealerships I've spoken with the salesman isn't the one who enters the order.The salesman takes the order using one software, then another person actually enters it in Workbench, which is when you get your number.

Hope they didn't charge you over MSRP. When I was checking around in July, they wouldnt promise that they would not mark up, so I bought from a dealer in NC.

I got it at MSRP, that was the main reason I drove from Florece KY to Cincinnati. I was assured that it would be at MSRP. BTW, If you see a solid Black 2SS RS Camaro rolling around in late Feb or into March with Kentucky FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) tags, you can almost be assured its me.
