so where did you find the yellow tape? I looked all over no one had any. The Autoparts store had some Amber colored tape but it was too dark.

You can get this tape at McMaster-Carr and the part # is 7648A36.
And the price is $9.43 a roll = 36yrds
Also the corect spelling is Kapton.

I used the red and black wires on the power outlet.

Neat! I've ordered an inferno orange cupholder cover from showstopper accessories. I'm curious now how I'd be able to do this with an LED strip under that... Will have to see once my car is out of storage! I suppose I'm just wondering how it will adhere to the surface if there's an LED strip in between.
