Anyone had dealer or body shop paint Onstar/XM fin?

I have seen some threads on DIY jobs, but I don't want to attempt it. Has anyone had their dealer or body shop paint their Onstar fin? If so, what was the cost and did they take it off to paint it?

I just wish that GM had painted these for the Camaro. I look around at other cars on the road, of course BMWs, Benz, but Toyotas, Hondas, even Hyundais and less expensive cars with painted fins. I know it may not be for Onstar but still is the same principle. The cars would look so much better with body-color painted fins than that cheap GM black plastic. Sticks out like a sore thumb on light colors

thanks for the info. yeah, would still have to take apart my headliner and get it out myself and ship it off. I may see if my local dealers could do it.

Yep Contact Becky from Rodgers Chevrolet pickup one from them. Now for the install do you have a good relationship with your dealership/service manager if so tell them you think your XM antenna is loose they will have to check it by dropping the headliner and while they are checking it they might as well just replace it with the supplied one.

All covered under the GM factory warranty
