The bowtie looks like your Camaro is ready to kiss someone.

not bad. i would get them to redo it for free..... or as a last resort redo the bowtie to match the stripes.... much easier fix. but i would first try to get them to redo it.

Just curious as to how much you paid for the job? (If you don't want to say that is fine)
I know hindsight is 20/20 but next time you have a paint job done have the painter do a small test panel. It may cost you a few extra bucks in the big picture but in the end you pretty much know what shade you will end up with. I always have my paint guy do a test panel on a flexible, flat piece of scrap metal. If it flexes you can bend it alittle to see different angles and also take it out in the sunlight to see what it looks like compared to being under artificial lighting.

First off I gotta give thumbs up to a fellow LS owner!

Second, I gotta say I really like the stripes *and* their colour. I wouldn't change them. Personally, I feel the red colour of the bowtie is a little too loud and the stripes would dominate the appearance of your car if they were the same shade of red. It'd be like, BANG! "Look at those stripes! Oh yeah, there's a car there too....."

I think the subtlety of their current colour is better.
If the mismatch really bothers you I would just change the bowtie myself, but it's your car obviously, your choice. But I would just leave it.....I probably wouldn't have noticed it had you not brought it up.

they look a little too wide imo and I think the shade of red looks a little pinkish. That sucks that they do not match.

The stripes look good no doubt! But the stripes looks a tad pinkish ( lighter than the red on the bowtie).... and if they "were" supposed to match the red with the bowtie, they failed and they should do them over at no cost for their mistake.

Your car still looks nice and dont let it beat ya up .... keep on driving and smiling in your Camaro brother

His plate does say P4NTHR (panther) so maybe he is going for the pink stripes. I agree with alot of posters, lighten up the bowtie a few shades so it blends more with the stripes and call it a day.

Why should that be a last resort? It's the logical step.

I would personally try to get them to redo the stripes first (mostly just because I like that color better but also it really is their responsibility since you paid to have them match). If that doesn't work then like others are saying just redo the bowtie. Just my two cents.

I like the stripes! I also agree that you should probably have the bow tie re-done to match.

I will say that the 1st Gen stripes actually went off the edge and didn't round off. I'm going for the 1st gen look as well on my 5th gen which is one of the reasons why I didn't want the Halo headlights. Even though they are technically correct I think the wide, extended, and rounded stripes look the best on the 5th gen. I don't think the 5th gen would look as good if the stripes went off the edge.

Here is one of my 1st gen that is a true SS in Cortez Silver. Then here is a pic of my 2010.
