The SA Camaro 5 club will surely be missed. The Fort Benning (Columbus) area of Georgia has a club, but it looks like they have around 10 cars. It will definitely be a big change from seeing 40 or 50 cars lined up every Friday night.

It was a pleasure having you join our group and share in the "experience" of being a part of our Camaro family.

Well that kinda stinks.... I hope you get a good group going up there that quickly exceeds the 10 or so cars they have. I'm sure it'll grow... and I'm sure we'll see you all around sooner or later. (plus, you'll be that much closer to Valdosta on our next trip out there. )

Hey Gang...

I would like to try and have some discussion Friday night about the laps for charity event in Ft Worth on 9-11-2010. I've sent a message to Butterfingers to find out if we could hook up with his gang for the event, or if we would need to go as a seperate group. I believe they had the largest group for the first event, and they are trying to double thier previous number. I've talked to a few people that were there last year and they all said it was amazing.

30 dollars for childrens charities gets you three laps, or you can get a VIP ticket for 5 laps for 250. For five or ten dollars you can get a photo of you and your car in the winners circle....

Sounds like fun to me and I hope we can either make a great showing, or support Butterfingers club to make a group number to never be matched...

Think About it... I'll be back from Brazil and I'm going regardless...

The "Texas Bowties", 1st Generation Camaro Club here in San Antonio, have some really nice rides. It was a real treat to see our "Big Brothers" poised in all their glory at Ancira Chevrolet. There were 9 in total and none were bashful about rolling in. Can you say, "Classic Thunder"?

About a month ago I found their website and thought they should be formally invited to participate in our 1st Annual Car Show in November. I contacted the president of the club and he more than graciously gave me a few minutes to speak during their meeting. This club's hospitality was top-notch which made me feel very welcome. Food and drink were provided.

After meeting and talking with several people it was quickly discovered that both our clubs can benefit each other on many different levels. I assured them as 5th Gen guys, we will support them in any of their future endeavors and they made the same commitment to us.

Okay Darrell, the constant e-mails repeating what you post in this thread are borderline spam at this point. Think you could create a seperate e-mail list for people who are and are not on Camaro5? Or maybe have an opt out of all e-mails if they're also posted on the forums?

I am not sure what my attendance will be this evening. Like I said earlier, Inception at the Palladium IMAX at 7pm, so if I show up, I may be a wee bit tardy...
