1. install new engine and stall converter, headers, exhaust

2. dyno tune with hp tuners

3. get stripe package installed

4. rims and slicks for the rear and drive to the track in april/may and see what it runs

In Canada, i go to a business that i trust and get my windows tinted for about $300 with tax, lifetime warranty all, very good quality.

For the CAI, for my cobalt it costs about $375 for a K&N one. Its a good buy if you have the money and plan on keeping your vehicle. It saves you on gas (basically look at when you fill up every week and add an extra day or so with gas savings), keeps you engine cooler (better maintaining it) and it gives you more power, meaning you'll feeling your car respond quicker when you press on the gas and you'll notice a change in noise. You also never have to replace your air filter ever again as the CAI replaces your airbox.

but you do have to maintain it. it gets dirty the same as a normal filter, so make sure to clean it according to manufacturer's guidelines (some just wash, others wash & re-oil).

CAGS is basically rigging the car to cheat on EPA fuel economy tests. IRL, depending on how you drive and what you want it may be better to shift through all the gears, though with 6 close-ratio gears there's really no point unless you're trying to stay near redline during a drag race.

I just enjoy shifting and would want to use all my gears even though I'm not accelerating hard.

Increasing intake and exhaust flow-ability only helps fuel economy if you run WOT@high RPM all the time. If not, the restriction is at the throttle or just the amount of air that it tries to pull at low RPM. The stock system on the Camaro will probably be more free-flowing than a common SUV or economy car/grocery getter.

I love when people mention the benefit of never having to replace the filter... But lets see a new paper filter is like 7 bucks usually. However the average K&N is $70 and the cleaning kit is $15. You should replace your air filter what every 15k miles? So thats replacing the filter 7 times over 100k miles. $49 total.... Vs $85 for the K&N...

Sounds like savings to me!!

true, but a performance filter (in most cases, especially if it's an open filter instead of a box) is going to have a higher CFM than the stock one, so you'll get a little extra performance. i think it's worth it.
