That's about right...good showing..and a fun convoy from Panera for those who were able to join us!

We need to do a few more rides...that would be a good time if we could get away from the highway, into the hill country , away from traffic and into some twisties.

Anyone else interested in doing a decent length ride ride sometime later this summer or early fall? Maybe an hour or two out, stop and have lunch somewhere at the halfway point, then convoy back?

Just putting out feelers now...

The SA 1st Generation Car Club "Texas Bowties" have invited us to a cruise on Saturday, July 31st. It will start @ Cool Beans Coffee (21920 Bulverde Rd. 1/4 mile south of Evans) @ 8:00am. Head into hill country from there.

Borderline spam? (I doubt that) Sorry, I was just trying to get the word out. I have found that some people do not regualy or constantly check Camaro5.com. It seems email is a more direct, immediate notification method.

I guess I will reevaluate my methods.

Well, maybe you could create two seperate e-mail lists: one for everybody, and one for the people you know don't check the forum as regularly?

I mean, I'm all for getting the word out, but when I get 4 or 5 "Reply To All" e-mails it does tend to get annoying.

Just trying to offer some suggestions. Sorry if it came out less than polite.

It seems that the issue is not with you sending a notification email, it's that everyone is sending a reply to all. Possible suggestion would be to send an email to notify everyone of the event, but put a note on it not to reply to email. Then if anyone wants to reply to the notification they can just go over to Camaro5.com and reply there.
Keep up the good work and I hope this suggestion will work for all.

To avoid offending anyone online I will simply drive to everyone's house and tell them my replies in person.

I'm pretty sure the email address Darrell is sending the emails from is automatically set up to notify everyone. That was the way the email system worked when I had a web site for our club in Germany...

...easiest thing to do is set the account to be a NO REPLY account and then everyone can get on Camaro5 or the website to check the info.

I will expect Mike at the house though for each email I get...and that's whether or not Darrell changes the account! LOL!
