Plus the fact that the “fully built” V6 could always be “forced” to put out more power (as he laughs like Dr. Evil).

I would take a 500hp V8 over a 500hp Turbo 4 for a few reasons but one very important one being that that Turbo 4 would have to be on the edge of its limits. That V8 is just waking up and asking for more.
