There are also superchargers available for the LY7 as outfitted in holden vehicles.

The LLT is a bit different, but its a head start.

The V8 has two more cylinders, it's simple logic.

A little example:
V4+intake= 105+15=120hp
V8+intake= 335+15hp=350hp.
It's the same way every time. put the same extra money into a larger engine and get more power than if that money was wasted on a small displacement engine.
Maybe I should ask all the base Corvette drivers why they are modding a base Corvette, when they could buy a Z06, or better yet, a ZR1.

I never do understand why all the "ONLY V8" people come all the way over to the V6 forum just to say our cars will suck compared to theirs...

When I think of turbo's I think of Porsche's and rice-rockets. This is American muscle though. Not German engineering or spikey haired japanese ricers. SUPERCHARGE THAT MOFO!

What about the Buick Grand National? The Solstice/Sky?
Did you know that they tried to make the ZR1 with Turbos first?

Bore the block to 4.0, replace the pistons, cam, and tune.

P.S. - By the way, I suppose I'm not being completely serious. While these are all possible ways to boost power output, I highly doubt any will be remotely cost effective. I might consider a vortech kit if they come out with one though. I wouldn't every buy one from somewhere like D3 - I would want my kit designed and produced by somebody who solely does superchargers.

There's no "official" story...but apparently, they attempted a twin turbo setup, and the engine bay was just too cramped -and hot -- resulting in the car catching fire.
