The current Corvette - definitely a sports car, as it can handle the corners very well.

Personally? I'd say the Camaro is a much closer cousin to today's Corvette than the old-school Camaro... in all aspects, cornering included.
Yes the Camaro handles MUCH BETTER than the ones from 30 to 40 years ago. So does MOST CARS & some trucks but that does NOT make them sports cars.

IF the Camaro is EVER classified as a SPORTS CAR (which I doubt) EVERYONE will know....

We have a 2 seater sports car the CORVETTE.............

Automatics will always be faster. Humans will always make mistakes. People who want fast cars go automatic. Those who want to have fun with mild power go manual.

Well the Camaro might as well be a 2 seater because no ones fitting in the back

True, but when the transmission is tuned, TAPshift in the auto makes it fun. 0 delayyyyyyy. I use it 98% of the time, excluding traffic.

Totally agree but you'd have to be pretty crazy to have a manual car pushing 1000+ rwhp.

Hey everyone, I have a crazy idea.
Hear me out on this one, ok?

Instead of arguing which is better, faster, more manly, etc....why don't we all just accept the fact that, like with the colours of our Camaros, people chose manual or automatic transmissions because of personal preference and leave it at that?

Crazy, I know.

The main reason that I didn't get the auto was because of the L99. I just couldn't get over the fact that I'm paying more for the auto yet getting an engine with less horsepower than the LS3.

I also don't care for AFM.
