It's definately a drivers race. The one that gets the best launch should win the race (stock vs stock).

Correct.

30-9 for the Cobra.
It can be a drivers race but on equal conditions and drivers, the Cobra is faster.

And lets say both drivers are equal lets keep this simple. Thanks guys i know i will get good feedback!!!
If you want the answer, go out and run your buddies! Why speculate?

03/04 Cobras put down ~365-375 RWHP stock, and weigh ~3650 lbs. They have a powerband similar to the LS3. They are not geared very aggressively, and of course, have the "band-aid" IRS. I know of two 03/04 Cobras that have gone 12.4s @ 114 mph in bone stock trim: One was MM&FF (Evan Smith) and the other was a private owner in the Midwest (Kenneth Risher).

It is certainly a close enough race that the driver can easily make the difference. If everything was exactly equal (and it never is), I'd give the Cobra a slight advantage.

12.9 is faster than 13.0

Math is your friend

30 is more than 9

If it makes you feel better that some people posted its a drivers race , go ahead. Both are great cars. If I had to pick one as a daily driver, I would pick the Camaro 2SS.

lol,, this thread is funny...

I don't "KNOW" which is faster. I would rather own a new Camaro, but the Power and allure of the 03/04 Cobra makes it a special car. Especially for its time.

Drivers race.

The 03/04 Cobras are probably realistically making 420-430hp in stock form. Any mods on the Cobra and it will gain significant power.

drivers race for sure. Same HP but 200lbs lighter so the Cobra DOES have the advantage though.

sounds like your friend needs driving lessons.what is his trap speed? whats yours? Pullied Cobras put down 450rwhp and 500rwhp when ported so something is wrong with your friends car for it to be one of the weakest Cobras in the world (for the mods) .

Cobra would have an advantage. I would say they are even slightly faster than a 2011 GT. The cobra just has an IRS like the camaro and are a little tougher to launch.
Trap speeds...

03-04 Cobras frequently go 112+
111-112 for the 11 GT
Average traps are 110-111 for the camaro

Although it looks like the auto 11 GT could be the ticket...it may have all 3 beat...time will tell. A couple crazy 115 traps have been reported from them but they have been shadowed in some doubt for various reasons I wont go into (no need to argue)...as more time goes by we will get a better idea.

All three are a drivers race but I would put them in that order.

Yeah, we were both kinda surprised. I wish I had video to back me up but sadly I don't. His trap speeds were around 114, mine were around 115 with a fastest of 115.5. Both of us eased into the throttle, launching around idle speeds.

We were able to do a 35 mph roll at the
track and I was able to pull a car and half by the quarter.

I do agree with his mods, he should be putting down the 450-500hp you stated. As for his driving ability, no major mistakes were made (there's always room for improvement). I know the car did a best time of 11.2 at 119mph with the previous owner using slicks and some other go fast goodies but he reverted a lot of things back to stock with the exception of the mods I listed. Idk, maybe he had a full tank of fuel and an unknown tuning problem is his car's issue...I'd like to think my car makes way more power than I think lol

I think it is a toss up. It does appear the 03 Cobra pulls the best mph but I think the IRS it had is hurting it as far as ET goes.
