Rough Idle/Sputtering in the A.M. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Does anyone else have sputtering in the A.M. if they don't warm their SS up enough? I have 2500mi on mine and if I don't warm her up she's angry...

Also, while idling when the car is warm, the car moves with the engine. The tachometer stays perfectly still, but the car kind of waves back and forth. Just want to check all my options.

BTW... this happened while it was stock. I've since put in a K&N CAI and Flowmaster catback... and it's still exactly the same.

mine does the same... I was told it was normal on the LS3... Mine runs smooth trough the RPM's

dont worry about it!!! its normal i had the same issue from start!!!!

same issue here. I also get an annoying squeaky belt in the morning until she warms up.

I have the L99 Auto but it is exactly the same cold start symptons.....

Mine was doing the same thing then I done the Fuse Mod and it appears to have fixed it. It has been 4 days and my car hasn't had a rough idle since.

They could have done a lot better with the idle and cold start calibration on this car. I've bought tons of LS engined cars, and this one is definately the strangest idle and cold blooded one. I had an LS6 Corvette a few years ago that idled perfect and on cold starts you could drive away stone cold on a perfectly smooth engine.
