Yeah but they it's worth the wait. Well for me getting one built will give me time to get rid of my current car. And mine will be a weekend car and a going out on dates car, when and if I manage to get those

Going to drive the Camaro to impress the chicks. I'm sure it will work.
Our Camaro is a weekend car too. We both have 4 cylinders as our daily drive car. Trying to save any money especially with gas prices.

I've been waiting about a month after ordering mine...probably another month or so to go...but ordering is a great way to save money as it forces you knowing the camaro is coming....

However, many have said pre-approval before ordering, but doesn't that count against your score as a pull?

Yes it does but you need to know you can get the money. If you know your credit is good and job history is good then you could wait and not have to have the pull until you need it.

Just for reference I'm 26 with a credit score in the mid 600's (student loans, don't ask ). Bank of America offered me 3.67% for a 5 year loan on $25k. I haven't checked with the GMAC or my insurance company yet but my guess is they won't beat that. If you are having trouble financing through a bank or GMAC you may try your insurance agent. Many people don't know that they finance auto and home loans. I didn't until a coworker mentioned it to me.

It does count against your credit every time your credit is pulled. If you are 100% certain that you will be approved for the auto loan then wait until close to the time when your Camaro will be delivered to apply for the loan. There are other factors other than credit score and history that a loan can be denied such as debt to income ratio and length of employment. Sometimes length of employment is overlooked since people move to jobs for more pay. Good Luck!

Yea I have no debt, but I was just pulled for pre-approval for a house prior to my requesting an auto loan. The auto loan shouldn't be an issue, but I will have to check if my credit hit a small hitch with the mortgage pre approval.
