My times were between 71.880 and 73.120. Good enough for second place in my class... 3 seconds off the 1st place car in my class. BTW... I am second place in points for the season for the street mod class. |

We're having a great summer. We were gone for a few days up to the cabin. Looks like we missed a lot also. But sometimes it's fun to get away with no phones, computers, etc. We took our niece and two nephews who pretty much have never really left the city before. We taught them to fish, and took them for their 1st rides on the 4wheelers. Even though we got caught out in a 3 inch rainfall and had lightening strike about 200ft away. everyone was still enjoying the adventure (after we got back up off the ground!!!)Barry I have been driving my nittos on the 1/4 mile track, road track and street. They are a good all around tire, but I still haven't gotten a clean launch with them at the 1/4 mile track. RS switched to an 18inch rim with Mickey thompson drag radial and ran a 12.4 on a night with the DA at 7100ft. The correction factor would put him right at 12.0. I'm gonna try a couple more times launching at lower rpms before I make the switch, because I'm not sure if it may be the difference in our gears, and 3000rpm might be too high for me. I'll keep you posted. So far my best is still a 12.9.

Geez... is everybody buying a CTS-V for the wife?
I gave my wife my 2009 Trailblazer SS when the Camaro came in.. The caddy would be nice but I am running out of room in the Garage... I would hate to drive the CTS-V through the winter.. worse would be parking it outside in the Winter. |

Well, so far MWS and Windy have done the CTS-V thing... Oh where oh where IS Windy, since he STARTED this thread????? 570, I can see the practicality of the Trailblazer, but why not just get a stacker for the garage for the CTS-V or, better yet another Camaro? ![]() ![]()

Thanks, I cant wait to hit the strip in that thing to see if it hooks. I really need to get her into this love affair with powerfull cars. I told her LPE does CTSV's to which she replied the power is already scarry.

Yep I know all about the garage thing, I have my Camaro's taking up all the space now. I have been trying to buy a lot from one of my nieghbors without any luck. I guess I could put one in at the plant but the thought of driving five miles to get to it takes the fun out.

Last time I emailed 'OL Windy he was really busy with the work. I will email him later to see if I can get him back in for an update. Good thing is he is busy, I hear things are really getting tough up north right now.

LOL My Garage ceiling height is only 8' and it has a beam that hangs down below that height. Cars would wind up in the master bedroom if I had a lift... LOL BTW.. I do have enough land to build a rather large barn/garage to store the toys in...

It's not done yet......the new axles came in last week. I talked to Ryan and he said the rear end was going to ship out last week but I haven't heard anything from the dealer yet this week. I was going to check again today to see if it had shipped. It's been about a month without driving my car and I am having withdrawls. I am going back to the track on the 7th of Aug, so it better get done soon!!!
I would like to hit the drag strip, as my drag radials aren't broken in yet either
