Yep. We even knew about 2011 pricing and options sooner than dealers did. It's not really their fault, though. It's a side-effect of the internet.

I can only blame them if they STILL point at a cloth-upholstered Camaro and tell me it's a "model one-"anything.

lol. yea. well it's also because GM doesn't update their systems faster then the internet gets it's info. last time the dealer checked his camaro production timeline site it still had the original 2010 production time table. no 2011 time line. lol. sad for them really it is. wow I just sounded like yoda.

yea. lmao. well the Z28 is what I've wanted from day 1. even if the current ss was a z28 I'd buy that and say forget the SS. lol. but turns out the Z28 is going to be the high performance variant again.

Ah....we are on EXACTLY the same page. I almost...(shhhhh)...I almost want the SS to have been the Z28 so I wouldn't have to shell out so much...guess I'll have to settle for the "unholy"-sounding version.....

New Z28 production to be on ALPHA platform? Was the Mule a decoy to let us know something IS coming, but when it is officially announced it will be about 500 lbs less and a monster to the competition?

Left Lane news reports Stracke said something to the affect that Enthusiasts will be pleased the new Z28 will be on the Alpha platform. If so, this ride just got wilder!!! Not to mention.... a SNEAK ATTACK of a wild primitive beast, killing all comers!

Not likely. Alpha is not going to be around in Cadillac until 2013-ish, let along the Camaro...more like mid-to-late decade for that.

Left Lane news is guessing...but I don't think they have very good reading comprehension. Stracke never said the Z28 would be on the Alpha platform, but commented on both Camaro-specific issues separately.

(And 500lbs is wishful thinking. If there is a 300lb loss, we are fortunate, imo)
