This is probably in the wrong area and I apologize; but RedJewel2SS you seem pretty knowledgeable with all this. I'd like to upgrade the brightness of the stock RS HID's and buy fog lights to match. I was looking at the 5k or 6k for color. Where's he best place to buy from and what exactly needs to be done. It's not as simple as swapping bulbs , right? Lightning isn't really my expertise.

Thanks for the links and info! Just curious, why is the fog light kit so much money!? Like I said I am not really knowledgeable with all of this. I never realized foglights would cost so much!

For your headlights it's not the "brightness" it's the color. 4300k isn't a true white. I would swap them out for a 6k set. You should only have to swap out the bulbs for you headlights. As posted in other threads there is move involved with doing the fogs.

its because you have to replace the fog light housing, and the bfxenon kit includes OEM housings that are the same fog lights found on the non-RS models. the difference between the two is the bulb connection on the housing and it is adjustable; meaning you can point the light up or down. the stock DRL lights are not very bright so they didn't need any adjusting

as for the headlights, it is as easy as changing the bulb and thats it. the owner's manual even has instructions on how to do this.

you cannot really get any brighter with the headlights, but if you want a more "white" color light, go with 6000k bulbs; if you want the light to have a little bit of blue in it, go with the 8000k bulbs.

Ok so for the headlights depending on what color I want I just buy the bulbs and swap them out, which I am capable of doing lol. I am looking for more of a white looks like a 6000k should work.

And for the fogs, there isn't any way of a cheaper method? I just would rather spend 400+ on a different mod vs fog lights. I don't really need to move them up or down or adjust them, I'd just like to have HID fogs. So within all my rambling on what it comes down to if I want HID fogs I have to buy the kit?

The kit price is based on the components used.... The kit is completely plug and play, comes with a wiring harness, switch, housings, and HID kit.

What model Camaro do you have? If you have the SS model you can just do the HID fog light kit. You dont need all the other components

I have a V6 RS. I really want HID fogs and matching headlights just was curious if there was a way around buying all that stuff. Again, I am not to smart when it comes to lighting.

the only other cheaper way to go is to get LED bulbs... the only people making them for the P13W, in the RS models, is AAC. i had these since christmas, but have had to send them in twice under warranty for burned out LEDs and the third time, one of the LEDs fell off into my fog light housing.

i don't like to bash companies, but there have been a select few other reports of this happening. for the majority most of the people who got them have nothing wrong with them.

all depends on how you wanna go! and the LEDs DO NOT match the stock headlight bulbs, they are a "super white" which is 5500k color temperature; closest HID bulb to that is 6000k.
