my Solo high flow cat review

I wanted to change the sound of the stock exhaust. I was following the solo thread and after hearing the sound clips of how they sounded with the stock exhaust, I knew thats the sound I wanted so I got in on the group buy.
Solo was very quick to answer my questions before I purchased and when I did order that night they were shipped out the next morning...impressive.

They arrived and I checked them over and decided I was going to do this job myself instead of taking it to a muffler shop. I built a set of 2x12 ramps and started the job. They fit well and I had no issues with the sensors going back. Now what this is all about the sound....the car sounds mean like the way a muscle car should. As soon as I started it up it sounded like another car..I was really impressed. If you think it sounds good in the vids, it sounds way better in person.

One last thing.. I noticed the power with these cats the first drive but never said a word. My wife took it for a drive and when she came back she said the car feels more powerful. So it is a mod you cant def feel and hear..thanks SOLO

Would it be obnoxiously loud with a muffler delete? I love the sound of my delete....just dont want to piss the neighbors off anymore than they already are....

My neighbor commented on my car when I start it up (not rev it) in the mornings he can hear it in his kitchen.. and I still have the stock L99 resonator/exhaust.

It's loud on start up but then quiets to a low rumble when idling. Around the neighborhood I can keep it civil if I keep the revs under 2500 and do the speed limit. When I'm out of residential neighborhoods it's loud time! My neighbor did comment on the sound but said it's tolerable. I guess it depends on your relationship with your neighbors. Mostly mine like musclecars and Harley's so I'm lucky! My Camaro is no louder than any of my past Harley's were!

Yes it is pretty loud. Obnoxious is up to the person that hears it.

sounds great with stock exhaust, and no DRONE.. I heard the clip of the solo hi flow and mach x and that combo sounds real mean and nasty

I have the Solo cats and catback system and live in a very quite neighborhood. I start the car in the garage with the door closed and open it when it settles down to normal RPMs. No complaints from my neighbors.
