ZR1 VS AMG Black

I was browsing the AMG website and came across they're top of the line "SL-65 AMG-Black series",....I was wondering which supercar would be faster? Which of these is the better performance car?

The ZR1 is priced around 121k and the AMG is priced around and above 200k,....

Corvette ZR1
Engine: 6.2L
Weight: 3,333 pounds
Horsepower: 638 @ 6500rpm
Torque: 604 @ 3800 rpm
0-60mph: 3.2 seconds

Mercedes SL-65 AMG Black-Series
Engine:6.0L V12
Weight:4,629lbs
Horsepower:670hp @ 5400 rpm
Torque:738 lb-ft. @ 2200 rpm (holy hell)
0-60mph: 3.9 seconds

I think the OP's question was which one was faster or higher performance. ZR1 easily! It's been tested over and over if you believe the info in these car rags.

Seems like even they stated for everyday driving it would be a hassle? Also, those seats look very uncomfortable compared to the ZR1-1 seats..IMO

Even performance wise it wasn't as fast as a Z06. The Mercedes may have quality I'll give them that and honestly its to be expected, however, for the price and performance level the ZR-1 is in (even quality isn't too bad..IMVHO though) and the price, I'd go with the ZR-1 please.

Both are bad ass cars, no getting around that!

Two "cheaply made" cars (with a 5 year 100K mile Warranty) that perform better than one well made one (With a 4 year 50K Mile Warranty) for the same money is the obviously better choice.

Both = Fast....(faster than needed)
Both = Sexy
Both = World Class Performance
$80,000 difference in Price = 2 Camaro's for daily driver's.....
ZR1 = Realistic Fun!!

Wow,...a ZR1 would embarrass that car. Looks like the ZR1 can take anything Mercedes/AMG can throw at it.

God,....if I had the cash a ZR1 would be the first car I'd buy. All I need is one!! Amazing supercar. Despite all the power this car packs.....I was disappointed. I wouldn't want to drive anything heavier than a Challenger.

I would say ZR-1, if you notice the Mercedes managed a time that was slower than the Z06. So, with this in mind, I would take a guess at the ZR-1. Also, all that torque is the major problem from what I seen in the video. The back-end liked to get away from him a lot, and with over 700 ft/lb's of torque at your disposal..in low rpm ranges..I can see how that happens.

I would take the mercedes if I could choose out of the two, simply because to a normal person the ZR1 looks just like any corvette (which I do love the corvette, but only a car person would know the difference between the standard vette and ZR1). For performance, yeah the vette is a better choice... but if you want a mercedes that looks like an exotic and is more exclusive then you would have to go with the AMG.
