Ever think that many have 8 years of jealosy towards the Mustang they finally get to release? Really, there was no Camaro for 8 years, so all this pent up anger towards the competetor's cars is finally coming out of some people...Sadly to say, some need to just grow up...

Agreed. I actually made a thread on this topic yesterday, and it was just deleted by the moderator.

I have respect that modding such a busy site is not an easy job, but please give some respect to freedom of speech.

BTW, I basically suggested that threads don't get moved from original forum until they are inactive. I have seen many hot topics turn dead because it was moved to another forum.

If you disagree with me, fine. Its your site (or you have been giving mod status by the owner). Maybe its better to post to defend your position than completely delete the thread?

Stay on topic please. This is not the suggestions thread. We have a site feedback forum where you are free to critique the site and the staff.

Now having said that, I could give you a very simple and short answer that will sound like I'm just blowing you off, or I could go into a long drawn out explanation of why/how the 13 Moderators on this site manage and maintain the place. Usually, when I do that it just leads to more criticism...

It is kind of a thankless job. I don't get to speak my mind I don't get to go off on jerks when I want to, I can't say one vendor is better than another, I have to water down everything I say.... I have to open almost every link that is posted here and hope it isn't porn.... blah blah woe is me.

In reality, I guess, the majority rules. this is not a democracy, and we have a method / formula that we follow for managing the site. Most of which is centered around respect, we will delete threads for a myriad of reasons, but the biggest one is - if it will cause our members to argue for no real gain. Arguing for argument's sake. Or an outright violation of the site rules. You'll notice that we leave a ton of controversial threads up. We don't even archive threads here...

you guys may not like this but, free speech doesn't apply here. This is a privately owned web site. as such the owner reserves the right to delete whatever he wants and he's trusted the moderators to act on his behalf.

When people get upset about us infringing on their right to free speech, I use an example I once heard my father use, "The right to free speech doesn't protect you if you are a guest in my house, and call my wife ugly, or my children stupid. I can always throw your ass out."

The bottom line is the members, sponsors and the mods here are guests in Tran's house.

As such we play by his rules and the mods are happy to enforce them. And If I may be so arrogant, I think the site has many more satisfied members than dissatisfied...

Well so much for not rambling on...

I apologise to those that don't like how we run this site... But I can't and won't be able to make all of you happy.

Those that choose to walk on the fringe of the rules and expect to be able to do and say whatever you like, will eventually get caught. We don't have target's on any one's back.. believe it or not. Mustang guys included. Hence why we give you 3 Chances BEFORE you get the permaban, and even then we usually let people back on....

Anyway, please don't continue this conversation here, I won't reply to it in this thread. If you are not satisfied with my answer please go to the appropriate feedback forum and post away.

Thanks for the reply. I did not know there was a feedback forum. I wish my suggestion thread was moved there, instead of deleted.

I will post something there.

BTW, you guys do run a very nice site. If you didn't, this place would not be hoppin. That said, there are always areas that can be improved upon....and thus I shall state one in my suggestion post.

I've noticed the same thing.

Why are all these Ford/Dodge guys posting so much on this site?

I just got myself a SS and joined this place soon after (been lurking for a while). I have absolutely no reason or desire to join a Mustang forum. I couldn't care less what they are saying about Camaros! It is getting old seeing all these Ford/Dodge guys do nothing but defend Mustangs and Chargers, many of whom don't even own one.

I hope the moderators keep them in check.

This site's a little safe haven for Camaro fan-boys... it's not called Mustang5 or Ilovemylatemodeldomestic5 OF COURSE this site is going to be biased. I don't think any rational person wants absolutely only Camaro owners, but anytime I see a post that says something that goes like "My Camaro did XX.XX at the track" There's ALWAYS a non-Camaro owner hanging around the corner to tell people what's up.
Agreed 100%. It's getting old and I havn't even been here long. I came here to avoid all the Ford/Dodge fan-boys.

Why do I come here? I enjoy talking to people. I like the Camaro (even tho I got a Challenger) and was strongly considering it until I got a deal I couldnt walk away from on a 2010 R/T. I was also considering a 2011 5.0 Mustang.
Yes, I do hate blind fanyboyism. I hate it on the Mustang side and the Challenger side, so I voice my opinion on the Camaro side. That being said I also have posted that the Camaro is an awesome car and I do compliment it.

What I do have difficulty with is when you have Camaro fans that cant comprehend why Mustang and Challenger owners post here, and want them gone. If this was truly an exclusive Camaro site, where to get in you must either testify that you are exploring getting one, have ordered one or have one (such as supplying part of the VIN), I would understand. However it is not, it is a fan site yes, but does not have strict limits on who can join.

Do Mustang owners sometimes start fights? sure..do Challenger owners sometimes start or contribute a fight? yep. Do Camaro owners start fights and fuel the flames? yes they do. It is not like one side is pure as the driven snow and the other two are just big bullies or troublemakers. The free exchange of ideas, reviews, debates and such leads to a stronger community, just as genetic diversity in the gene pool leads to a stronger species.

That being said I understand there is a Camaro bias, thats fine. What I do not appreciate is when I am made to feel completely unwelcome because I own a Challenger, or somehow I am a moron for owning one.

So I guess to the OP, I am not jealous of your car, or you for owning your car. My car is not inferior to yours in any way, and if you want to see what my car can do on the strip..hit me up the next time you're in Southern Oregon and we'll run the 1320.

Think about it for a sec, what are you going to talk about? there are about 10,000 threads just from when everytime someone get's a compliment.

there are numerous great tech threads, everything else is "washed my car today!" "took pics today" "transformers" "girls said my car is hot"... without a rival the site would be boring as hell.. think about that for a sec honestly.

??
We don't all agree with each other. I've seen plenty of arguments between Camaro owners on this site, both about the Camaro and about other cars.

And personally, I'm kind of tired of the stereotype you, ViperTomcat, and other posters push that all we talk about here are Camaros, or that we're biased haters. Go look at the early 2009 posts on the Camaro vs. forums and compare them to the posts that get made today. The older posts are much more ranging and respectful than what is posted there today, and the difference is the trolls we've gotten since then.

And if people want to post about how much they like their 2010/2011 Camaro on this site, GREAT! This website is specifically made for Camaro fans.
