I don't like the sound of "sport sedan" so I'll stick with "fast sedan."

But, I guess you're right, not a muscle car.

Man, High roller. No wonder you're switching superchargers like their toys. I bet your fiance is happy with that one. Have fun with it. Us, poor mongrels will have to stretch our budgets to get the most out of the camaro.

Haha! I wish I was a high roller. If I was id buy a tune for it and make the power that this engine is supposed to make. Mods are very pricey for this car... mainly because their is a mucch smaller demand then their is for a lot of other cars. The gains you can make with bolt ons and a tune are awesome.

My fiancee liked the camaro better. She says its "cooler."

so true. But, if the engine goes that's a check my ass can't cash.

midgard, I'm sorry for the discussion about my car in your thread. I'm still very interested in your build and your results at the track which have been very impressive.

Do yourself a H U G E favor, make sure you part with the car BEFORE the warranty is expired. I just got rid of my '05 and couldn't be happier to see it gone. Electrical NIGHTMARE!! 4 ignition's, tranny and complete fuel system. Plus MBZ's "pre owned" warranty is crap after the full new car warranty is up.

Just my .02. Love the look and feel, just not the hassle of getting it into and out of the shop all the time.

Good luck.

Any updates? Did your rearend arrive?

Thanks for the advice. You make good points. But I've had good luck in the past with MB's. I had one before the Camaro for like 7-8 years and it ran great.

I had a Tahoe before that car that required both an engine and transmission replacement from GM. So, you never know how the car will turn out.

But my factory warranty goes another 3 years and then the Certified Pre-Owned kicks in for another year after that. 4 years of warranty sounds good to me. And I may keep the car another year beyond that. We'll see.

I will say, I'm not thrilled with the way the electronics of the car functions overall. Not very precise and somewhat complicated. But the hand built engine is pretty cool.

midgard,

When you're at the track, do you turn both S/T and T/C off? Also, do you have to feather the throttle to launch or can you get away with pressing the throttle pretty hard because of the tires you run?

Sonny,

Yes you want to turn everything off!
And feather out the throttle very quickly!

Sonny,

Not sure if you have checked into the MBZ "CPO warranty", but it is far from the coverage of the factory. Found out the hard way. Best of luck with the MBZ. My experiance was bad from the 3rd day on...... Loved the look, hated the reliability. But like you said, it varies from car to car.

I put 160k miles on my Youkon Denali before I had to replace anything. After that I got the MBZ. Wanted to get rid of the MBZ for the Camaro, but couldnt get a good trade in value for it.

I can't step up into the SC world so I have to live vicariously through your guys on here Midgard and the huge HP guys do a fine job of keeping me on the edge of my seat waiting for the details and timeslips.
