Looking for some local L99's with aftermarket exhaust setups

Hi guys - I'm hoping to find some local L99 owners that have an aftermarket exhaust setup installed. I was sold on the Borla 'S' until I read further into the L99 and the Active Fuel Management deal. I don't want to be stuck with a tone that will drive me wild on the freeway, the moment AFM kicks in.

In the mean time - trying to find an exhaust set up that was designed with AFM in mind - and I'd love to hear some setups in person and hear thoughts/opinions from L99 owners that have gone through the same.

I have ARH long tube headers and exhaust on my car and there is not problem on the highway. There is a little of a problem at low speeds just off idle. I'm happy with mine.

Me too! I want a more aggressive sound without voiding my warranty and with no annoying drone any where in the normal rpm driving range.
You would think the manufactures would jump on this as there are a lot of automatics are out there.Exhaust sytems producers are you monitoring this site? If so chime in ,we need support.

CLEAR IMAGE AUTOMOTIVE IN KENT made my long tube headers and 3 inch exhaust for my LS3 camaro which will work great on the L99 moter too. I gain 51 horse power to the wheels. It's all magna flow high flow cat's, resinator's and mufflers. It has a great deep throaty sound too.
Web site is: www.clearimageautomotive.com check them out and tell them Tom sent you and you may get a discount. Thanks.

hmm I never even considered getting a system created. your set up looks pretty well done - that is definitely an option, but I am not sure they would know how to help the sound during AFM (specifically why I am looking for L99 owners)

so far I've found that MBRP, corsa and solo designed systems for the L99 specifically. I am leaning towards MBRP but wanted to hear some options in person.

Everyone that I know has been turning the function off because of that issue. There buying a hand held unit to turn off fuel management function.

yeah - I am looking into a system that can handle it being left on. I like my warranty. : )

I've found three so far - Corsa, MBRP and Solo all have an L99 system. I have a thread in the exhaust / bolt ons forum if you'd like more info.

I'm hearing things from GM that the fuel management system is causing motor damage and you can turn it off when the car leaves from the dealer and back on when you need to take in for service too.
