Thinking about getting a 2010 V6 Camaro need advise

I'm really thinking about trying to get into a 2010 Camaro and just get a base model V6 since I will change out the wheels etc. I've had a 95 V6 Camaro, 99 Z28, and 00 C5 so I was just wondering how much power the new body style's V6's have. Is there a big jump for the 93-02 3.8's? How much should I look to pay for a good used 2010 Camaro?

Anybody here regret buying a V6 and wished they'd would have waited for a SS?

Thanks,
DwDrummer

i love my V6. It has really good power, but its not an SS. You'll still have fun no matter what you buy. Not to sure on a used one, my sticker was 26.

The V6 is fantastic, go try both. This is my daily driver and the 28MPG I get was the clincher.
I loved the V8 but I knew it wouldn't work for my DD, and I didn't want to sell my 69 camaro.
Don't sell the v6 short it will bust the doors off most cars out there.

It's a blast. you get the same power out of the V6 that you did in your 99 Z28.

approximately same HP, but the Z28 had a LOT more torque! 99 Z28 was rated at 335 ft/lbs @ 4000 RPM vs the 2010 V6 which is rated at 273 ft/lbs at 5200 RPM... The 99 Z28 also was a a 13 second car stock vs the 2010 V6 which is a mid to upper 14 second car stock... So in actuality the 99 Z28 is going to be a lot faster and sit you back a lot harder...

now... all that being said... the 2010 V6 is, yes, a blast!

good point there scrming!

You won't regret the v6 for the power to fuel ratio it is well designed!

Not to mention the 4th gen was a lot lighter. Like everyone said. I can't see you not enjoying it.
