Why would he have a warranty in hand to search under your hood?

Only if the Cop is a Mustang owner, would this rally happen.

more then likely he wont look under the hood unless you are street racing and even then it would be really rare. but it turns into a fix it ticket i heard for around 350 to 390 ish depending. that is what i have read but may be wrong.

California Air Resourve Board.

Any after-market part that affects emissions such as intake, headers, SC, heads, etc. etc. must be CARB certified in order meet CA emissions standards.

It does suck to live in this state, the sad thing is that some other states follow up and demand CARD certificates in their states. You can't buy things like portable generators here unless it's CARB approved and that ends up costing ~$100 more.

God I hate this state...

Is a little long tube headers and no mid pipes too much to ask for??

Not many places You can go to the mountains in morning and the beach in the afternoon. But yeah C.A.R.B is really annoying, and by any chance do any of you know what would you have to add to Camaro to make it C.A.R.B approved if it is bought in a different state like Nevada . Nevermind found my answer and it is yes

Alright ladies and gentleman, let's not turn this into a debate about politics and economics. The post was about having a CARB sticker, not about the effects of CARB itself...Thanks!

Is CARB really that big a deal to most folks here? I drive my SS every day... loud exhaust, no front plate, and knock on wood cops never look twice, let alone pull me over. OTOH I am not mashing the gas, redlining it everywhere I go... so I don't give LEO a reason to pull me over in the first place.

The only major hassle would be bolting stuff on and off for inspection, which isn't for five years after you buy the car, as I recall.

I hope you meant warrant not warranty. If you really meant warranty, then I guess they really are crazy in CA.
