I like the badging the way it is, personally.

I just can't resist this - humorous...

I'm removing all of the SS and GM badges. I would like to put an old school '69 style SS on the rear where the bowtie is and maybe swap out the gold bowtie for a graphite or carbon fiber one. I also want to change the grille to an IVER style so maybe I won't have a front bowtie at all.

Does anyone know if the ss embroidery on the headrest will be red for an RS?

I heard that GM wanted the car to be recognized primarily as a Chevy, rather than an SS. It is kind of a second halo car for them, along with the vette. I also, am not really thrilled with the badges. I plan on removing mine as long as they don't look really bad, and replacing them with a centered SS on the grill, and rear. I am not sure if I'll use first gen emblems, or the more modern trailblazer, impala ss emblems.

While I don't want the SS to be gaudy, it would be nice to have, at least, an SS distinctive hood to separate it from the lesser (no offense guys) Camaros. We are paying the higher price.

I'm going to promote that logo with pride.

I keep all my cars' badges polished and shiny. I'm quite proud to own only GM vehicles.

Well my problem with badges is that the rear badge is a bit to small, I think it should be badged on the sides of the car, is there going to be a fascia option that has SS instead of a bowtie?

I'm removing the SS badges. They are too small and I don't like the placement of them on the car.
I may look at alternative SS emblems mounted centered as others have stated.
The big bowties are just plain ugly and will be coming off too.
The small lower fender emblems don't make sense to me as GM never used those in the past, so why they would want to copy a Chrysler emblem placement is beyond me, so those will be departing as well.
No dealer decals or emblems or licence mounting for me either.

I ordered a 1ss. Im shaving the car of all the emblems and getting the Type R Racing floor mats and stickers from autozone on the front fenders and telling everybody its a V6.

The embroidery will be the same color as your seats.

I personally like the badges just the way they are except for the tiny GM tags. Those will be coming off 1st thing after I bring it home.

I agree with this 100%.

The Z28 was always easily distinguishable from the rest of the Camaro line. Think back to the 1974 model, where the Z28 hood stripes could be seen from an airplane at 30,000 feet. Or the 1980 Z28, with the functional air-induction hood scoop and the wide door stripes announcing "Z28". Or the later '80s, with the huge IROC decals.

I can also understand those who prefer a more subtle approach. So I think the SS should come standard with prominent badging/striping, while offering a no-charge badging/striping delete option as well.

But I think it's not really fair to the buyer who pays the premium price for the SS that his car is almost indistinguishable in appearance to the base V6 model.

When there are 100,000 Camaro's on the street, it would be nice to stand out a little. I liked the fact that the previous Camaro SS's were noticably different.

I've never been a fan of driving the same car as everyone else.

That's one of the biggest issues with the Mustang. I can't drive to the store without seeing a dozen Mustangs that all look the same.

^^^Exactly, which is why I don't know how long I'll own my SS. If in two years or so it becomes just another look alike Camaro I'll probably have to trade it in....but for what? A Z28, maybe.
