While looking at Zanio's website for more soap and quick detail spray I came across a new product called Z-CS clear seal. Has anyone heard of this or tried it?
Sorry if this has been discussed before. I did a search any didn't come up with anything.

I've used it...personally, I've chosen to stick with Z-2 and Z-5, occassionally using Z-6 for quick detailing.

With the number of coats of Zaino I have on the SS, I didn't see any real benefits to Z-CS.

Thanks Ed for the response and opinion. I LOVE the Zanio products. I think Zanio does a fantastic job! I love the way my car looks. I'll have to put some thought in Z-CS.

Well, contrary to alot of the negative thoughts regarding it, I've been using Armor All for years without any problems/issues. They offer different degrees of shine. One I've used is their "Extreme Shine", and it's one of the "shinier" tire dressings available. I wipe it on, let it sit for a minute, and finish by wiping off any excess with a paper towel.

There are other good brands such as Meguires and Mothers, which I've also used on occassion.

I tend to shy away from any gels, as in my experiences, they all sling, and I don't want tire dressing on my paint.

I'd also suggest that at each washing, you clean your tires to remove any old dressing, as this will prevent any buildup and keep your tires looking new.

HOW TO I CLEAN THE UNDERHOOD INSULATION

I'd like to know how or what i can use to clean the under hood insulation, has anyone besides me notice that when you use the hand wand at the car wash it looks like to me that somehow the soap sprays up under there and the soap drys and leave's a white soap film on the black insulation, any help would be greatly appreciated

I have yet to look closely at what GM used under the hood of the 5th Gen., but if it's black pastic, I'd wipe it down using warm water and possibly something similar to what you'd use to clean the interior...

I also carefuuly wipe this down using water and car wash, followed up by a coat of wax/polish. I've Zainoed the underside of the hood on my '99 SS, and it shines as well as the exterior.

I screwed up... Used a "scratch and swirl b-gone" product on my hood, applied by hand, not I have horrible swirling. Any way to help this without using a PC and another product?

I've corrected similar problems by hand, but it takes some time and effort. Both Meguires and Mothers are good "over the counter" brands that can address this.

But if you know of a friend with a random orbital buffer, it'll make life easier and give you the results you're after.

What kind of protection do you recomend for a Camaro owner in soggy Oregon? The weather is mostly rain, which makes the roads muddy. I can't wash the car on a daily basis, nor can I run out to the parking lot at work and dry it off everytime it rains.

Thanks!

I'd recommend a good quality wax/polish, and two brands that can be found easily at any automotive store, are Mothers and Meguires. That would be "the basics" to protect the exterior. For the interior, reading your comment about rain/mud, I'd HIGHLY recommend investing in a set of quality rubber floor mats, and I like 'WeatherTech' matts..I've got them in my Jeep and they work GREAT!

When possible, give your Camaro a good bath, and spend some time getting a good coat of wax/polish on it, and you'll be fine.
