Motor changes during the break-in

What happens inside the motor during the break-in period? How can different break-in methods physically change power production?

doesnt change power production... just breaking it in "wrong" would kill the life of your engine faster... but cars these days have such good engines, you can hardly kill it from a bad break in =)
