GFORCECHIPS ??? IS IT TRUE ???

Well as they saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is ....... so there is this chip advertising to increase up to 60 horsepower and its only 69 bucks ...... http://www.gforcechips.com/chevroletcamaro.aspx

I am a bit skeptical on it because its such a low price for such high increase in horse power, some info from my camaro community would be greatly appreciated before I make an impulse buy. Thanks guys

I don't know how these kind of places manage to stay in business. They show an older style EPROM, which none of the current ECU's or "tuners" use to tune a car.

This section explains what they are doing.

"The GForce module installs into your CHEVROLET CAMARO's engine bay and is connected via 2 wires that plug into the IAT sensor. Diagrams are included. The unit is then able to reprogram the ECU thus improving your car's performance "

The "module" is a resistor. The resistor fools the IAT - intake air temperature sensor into thinking the inlet air is cooler than it actually is.

Its a 59 cent resistor they sell for $69. Its really got nothing to do with tuning, but more with "fooling".

The sensors are their for a reason, if you want to tune the car, use a tuner, not a resistor.
