Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
It is registered, You are fingerprinted, You supply a current Driver's License, You supply your Social Security #, You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing, Each update - change of ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense, chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

You have to know about it first. It's not surprising nobody knows when Congress votes things into law without even reading what they're voting on. I just sent a copy to them in case they haven't heard.

Only way I see that going through is so they can go after folks for tax evasion like they did mosbeter they couldn't touch other wise.

What you linked to and is true is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing bill... this is very different than the tax return thing you posted... also at towards the bottom of the Snope's Blair Holt link you provided you'll see that the Blair Holt bill has really no chance of passing... Oh... and read the Snope's entry on the Blair Holt Bill closely and you'll see there are a number of other falsehoods being circulated about this Bill...

I'm with Highcompresion, the NRA would have been all over this. They would know about it before we do. Just my opinion.

There is no way the NRA wouldn't know about this being they are one of the most powerful lobbies in Washington. This thread sounds politicaly motivated to me and should be stopped in it's tracks...

I don't think I'll be required to relinquish my firearm anytime soon...jmho
